WHERE THE BULLETS FLY

A SHERIFF AARON MACKEY WESTERN

Surrounded by ranches, farms, and precious metal mines, the town of Dover Station, Montana is ripe for the plucking. It’s up to Sheriff Aaron Mackey to keep the peace—and keep the dregs of humanity from trying to make a killing . . .

"WHERE THE BULLETS FLY, VENGEANCE REIGNS"

If anyone can smell an investment opportunity, it’s railroad men and big city bankers. They’re not the kind of folks that Sheriff Mackey is used to dealing with. But greed is greed, and if anyone knows how money can drive men to murder, it’s the sheriff of a boomtown like Dover Station. But when Mackey is forced to gun down a pair of saloon rats, it brings a powderkeg of trouble—with a quick-burning fuse of vengeance named Alexander Duramont. This bloodthirsty psychopath wants to kill the sheriff for killing his buddies. And he plans to get his revenge using a highly combustible mix of fire, fear, and dynamite . . .

Mackey’s not sure how he’s going to stop this blood-crazed lunatic.
But it’s going to be one heck of an explosive and very violent showdown . . .

"In Aaron Mackey, Terrence McCauley has created one of the toughest, most brutal and believable heroes ever to ride the wide open ranges. Once started, this was a book we just couldn’t put town. Sure, there are familiar tropes one expects in any western, but McCauley has the verve to shake them up and there are quite a few surprises in store for the jaded reader. This is one oater, you won’t soon forget."

"What McCauley has done is expertly blend the classic gangster genre with the classic western: Aaron Mackey is a tough guy with a heart, while Alexander Duramont is about as bad of a bad guy as you would see in anything written by the likes of Paul Levine or Michael Connelly. Fast-paced and hard to put down, I read it front to back in a few days. I highly recommend fans of either genre give it a try."

"I've read a great many books, very large number westerns. I'm not sure any of them grabbed my attention quite like this one did. I am extremely stingy with 5 star ratings, this one deserved it to me. "Everyone has their own ideas of good books. To me it is strong characters, a decent realistic story, and well written with passion. I thoroughly enjoyed this, it is far past my bedtime but I finished it. Worth it for me."
